Because Top Rank and GBP would get that fight done in 5 minutes right? And Katsidis beat the shit out of Jesus Chavez in route to KO win while Chavez gave Soto a fight leading to a decision.

Top Rank wont hesitate to try to make a Marquez-Soto fight.
Its Oscar and Marquez that avoid Soto, cause Oscar is a puss, just like Marquez (is only being) for a Soto fight.

Soto knockdown Chavez in the first round and could've KO'd him, but "played possum" and let him go to the 12 round.

Out of all the huge fights coming up in the next few months, this is the one I am looking the forward to the most.

I see this playing out A LOT like the first fight between JMM vs Juan Diaz. Katsidis will look strong and land a lot of nice shots early on, but once JMM settles down he will start picking Katsidis off down the middle. I love Katsidis and think hes extremely entertaining to watch, but I gotta admit I think JMM will win this one...probably by a late TKO

Wouldn't most people care on the result of this fight? A convincing victory for JMM is one step closer to a third fight with Pacquiao, if that ever happens.

Like it or not, plenty of fans (like me) still want a third fight between Pac/JMM. They obviously have unfinished business, even though Pac clearly has the advantages now.
