Juanma is too tender and delicate to finish up Greater than Rafa Marquez.
LOL at 27 years of age, he already did what what Marquez didnt do until he was 31, which is become a two division champ.

Marquez has 7 career title defenses, Lopez is gonna make his 7th title defense against Marquez.

In his two championship fights he beat Vazquez and Austin, but was back in the judges cards. While Vazquez win trumps all of Lopez wins, Austin=De Leon
and Marquez managed to knock him out in the eith while Lopez didnt let De Leon finish the first round.

Let's recall when he had those great fights....118...122 which was three brutal wars against Izzy and now 126 when he's older and has more miles in the tank but even so this fight is still being called 50-50 lmfao . Read up on boxing a little bit more than just the Rican fighters you're nut hugging. Even if juan ma wins, as far as I know there's still no Rican fighter P4P better than our Mexican unified world champions JMM, Montiel, and Segura.

Oh and Rafa arguably won the third one. I wouldn't expect you to know that since it's obvious you don't know **** about rafas career. LOL at KOing tim austin being a bad thing. Wasn't Juan Ma out on his feet literally against a bum?
You talk as if Ive started watching boxing yesterday when Ive been a boxing fan since 1999 back when I still didnt know who the hell was Tito, and when I said why should we I was responding sarcastically to you generalizing saying "Ricans".

This is what fanatism is, Marquez had those fights with Vazquez and all the sudden he is great, when he had to come back to win those fights. Did he dominate a single good fighter.

Tell me Gato Castro, what decent fighter did Marquez dominate like Juanma did Luevano and De Leon?

Marquez is as good as Gatti was, nothing out of the ordinary, just a great punching power that saved his ass from getting outboxed a bunch of times.

LOL, Greatness is defined by more than just those statistics and who got the KO quicker (or who had the most thunderous punching power).

Being behind on the cards doesn't make stopping your opponent less legit. It's not as if either fight was won luckily - he inflicted the damage that forced Vazquez to retire and went for the Glory against Austin. And, really, I think Austin's a better win than Ponce De Leon.

Will Lopez ever emerge from a series as an equal to a rival as good as Vazquez? I don't think he could hold up to that kind of gruelling challenge.

Juanma will run into trouble shortly, he's too vulnerable. If Marquez doesn't knock him out, and I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped Lopez, one of these young guys is going to soon (Caballero or Gamboa).

Bigger picture, I see Marquez being remembered as the more important fighter.

Not dominating his opponents is bad for him when he gets compared to the likes of Canizales, Zarate, and Pintor, Jofre, Olivares and lets remember, as powerful as Marquez is, Zarate, was bigger and stronger.
