  • I can only go live to 1 fight card this year what should it be?

I normally go to most west coast fights but this year it looks like I will be limited to 1 event. I'm leaning towards November 27 2nd place is December 11and 3rd place is November 6.

I thought about going to Martinez-Williams II but I agree with you about the lack of an undercard. I'm still considering it, though.

Tough decision, though. I'm not crazy about the Pacquiao-Margarito undercard but the atmosphere and potential action of the main event makes it's tempting. The Nov. 6th card I think might be the most solid as I think all 3 fights could be entertaining. The Dec. 11th card I'm a little skeptical about. I think the main event could just be a one-sided run-a-thon for Khan where Maidana's only hope is that he eventually catches him. The Ortiz-Peterson fight is ok and the Kirkland fight will likely be over within a couple rounds.

Khan-Maidana. It will be a historical event. The night Amir shut all critics up at once.

Depends on who your favourite fighters are, but personally I would choose Khan-Maidana,with Ortiz (probably vs Lamont Peterson) and the Kirkland-comeback. Not sure how competitive those fights will be - Maidana has a punchers chance, Peterson could be interesting, but normally you'd expect Khan, Ortiz and Kirkland to win.

Marquez-Katsidis should be a good main event, but the undercard just doesn't do it for me. Same with the Lopez-Marquez card, so Pac-Marg would actually be my second choice (don't care much for Pavlik-Vera, but Rigondeaux-Cordoba and Jones-Soto Karass, also Benavidez Jr on the undercard).

i say hopkins pascal because if you are going to a live fight, that crowd will most likely be the best fight crowd out of all those fights. the match up might not be the best ones up there, i really like the jmm katsidis match up, it will be a decent crowd but the canadians will be all fired up for pascal, which should make for a really fun time.

for me, the crowd plays a HUGE part in how the live entertainment goes. fighters feed off of it and if the fighters are dragging ass a good crowd lets them know it and usually they put on a good scrap.

hopkins pascal is a interesting fight, style wise, age wise, conditioning wise, and strategies. so it makes sense to me that it would be a good live fight to go to. not because i'm a hopkins fan, but because i know that crowd is going to be nice and fired up.

one of the best crowds ever was hamed vs barerra, mexicans and brits chanting back and forth ALL NIGHT LONG, coupled with the fight action, they almost blew the roof off the mgm that night. it was a blast.

now, had the crowd been like that at corrales vs castillo I and been that big at that fight, the place probably would've exploded into outer space with that ending. so to sum it all up, i like to choose what live fights i go to by match up and crowds. BUT i try to go to every live fight I possibly can, always.....

If it was me I'd go to JMM/Katsidis. It has 3 good fights and the atmosphere should be great. Now if you're a Pac or Margarito fan(which I'm not) and you have yet to experience either live I'd probably go to that. It's not everyday that boxing has a crowd of 50,000 plus.

I would say juama and Marquez is gonna be a full out war. I would rather be at a fight where I know I'm garauteed to get my moneys worth.

Katsidis vs Marquez I think it will be a few raunds war, but has a spectacular billboard like Margarito Pacquiao. After all boards are horrible
