The Trinidad and De La Hoya PPV's did well, but we all know who was the "A side" to those events. I think the horrible Hopkins-Jones rematch absolutely killed BH as a PPV draw.

i never considered hopkins a ppv draw...his opponents are bigger draws than him always, with the exception of winky wright...lol

                  good *****!

Hopkins was a pretty good draw at the peak of his popularity, but faded after the Calzaghe fight and more so after Jones obviously.

There are/were only a handful of guys in boxing that could really sell PPV's consistently. It's very rare in boxing. Hopkins never quite got there but after he beat Tito and Oscar he was one of the top names in boxing.

get the f**k outta here...hopkins was headlining fights at the blue horizon in the lobby area, then peaked when he fought trinidad and oscar, blown up welterweights who brought waaaaaaaaay more to the table than hopkins ever did...no coincidence that as soon as those fights were over, he went back to needing bigger name opponents to secure a decent payday....he never carried a card in his entire career....

trinidad/oscar can announce a comeback and pack a stadium right now and get great ppv buys on their own, hopkins can't and never could sorry....
