You gotta be kidding me. Why Chavez at the age 31 or 32 got destroyed by De La Hoya. Go look at Chavez record, he beat many bums & he had problem with most good fighter he faced. To even compare Chavez to Hagler is a joke in my opinion. Just to let you know Chavez was one of my favorite fighters, but I'm gonna be honest, I think he is overrated. He had too many bad fights against good fighters.

Chavez is probably the greatest Mexican boxer ever but I believe Whitaker beat him. Hagler destruction of Mugabi who knockout 24 of his first 25 fights at the tail end of his career and Hearns who was one of hardest hitters of all time was just too much for me to ignore. I know Chavez comeback against Taylor was classic and beating Rosario too but both of them are not on the same breath with Duran and Hearns. So Hagler has better legacy.
