I think Trinidad would have still won without the low blows.

Judah had Cotto out on his feet twice and Cotto was just 2 or 3 combos away from being knocked down, the low blows definitely saved him from being knocked down to say the least. Judah has 7 good rounds in him, if he wouldn't have been low blowed twice so early in the fight I could definitely see a closer fight but it's not a given that Judah would have won. If you have a pair of healthy eyes you could definitely see a different Judah after the low blows, way different. Smart but dirt move by Cotto, probably saved him from losing to Judah and also if Judah won it could revived his career big time while that would have just been 1 loss on Cotto's resume.

In the case of Cotto vs Judah, Cotto was already composed when he landed the first low blow - he had already recovered from a good punch and was getting back into his rhythm. That **** did not save Cotto because he wasnt even hurt so thats bs that you could even say he cheated, Cotto was throwing crazy bombs to the body and it was an accident. Second low blow Cotto was doing even better, he did not need to do that to save himself.

Point is, Cotto's not a cheat, he wasnt in any trouble when he landed those low blows. I agree though, them ****s hurt and can take something out of a fighter. Trinidad may have did it was on purpose which is not cool if he did.

No they wouldn't have, Judah is a front runner who starts every fight off well and gets broken down against good opposition and to me it almost looked like Tito carried the kid to the end and then finished him off.

Perhaps, he would have still kod Judah but it would have been a more competitive fight.
i know what your saying but we'll never really know if without those low blows the fight results would have been different. in boxing even split second could mean a lot in critical moments of the fight.
one thing is sure though, trinidad and cotto did greater things in their boxing careers after those fights...something vargas and judah failed to do. that's why those controversies leave little (or none at all) questions to tito's and cotto's resume.

I was thinking of that fight as well. He was ultimately disqualified for it. It was bad, too. Rios did not look that bad for it, either.

Cotto out on his feet? You kidding me? A good punch or two yes, but Cotto was closer to being out on his feet vs Corley and that Columbian kid he fought. That **** with Judah was not that serious, he had been hurt way more before. That first low blow landed when they were already in the middle of the ring and he was coming back on, going to the body. He could have low blowed him way before that, when Judah was swinging all crazy and trying to take him out. Thats bs, Cotto did that by accident, and by low blow #2 Cotto was dominating the fight - no need to even do that on purpose.

Vargas just wasn't ready for Trinidad by the loks of things, he was rushed through his career and peaked early because of it.

Cheato Triniwraps had bricks in his hands against Vargas.
Hit yourself in the balls with a rock, even with the protector is going to hurt a lot.
