According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, the very anticipated bantamweight showdown between WBO/WBC champion Fernando Montiel of Mexico, and Nonito Donaire of the Philippines, will proceed as scheduled for a planned date of February 19 on HBO. Montiel injured his right leg in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, which put off a planned tune-up on November 20. Montiel plans to resume training in three weeks and should be ready in time for the February defense.
