Floyd only accepted the fight only after shane was overtrained.

What I'm saying is that headline of the thread is not possible. If you want to argue that Mayweather felt that Mosley would over train even though fighters have had fights canceled and rescheduled and have gone through back to back camps before then thats fine. I just think its funny to assume that Floyd knew that Shane would not benefit from coming to camp in shape apparently. If that was Floyd's gamble then it could have back fired big time. Here is a crazy thought, maybe Floyd signed to fight Shane and then prepared like he was going to get the best Shane Mosley possible since Shane was acting extremely motivated and hungry leading into the whole thing. You guys kill me.

Now shane's training camp was pretty much done and he was in his top condition.. that's when the berto fight fell apart and shane was in (or close) to 100% condition already with nobody to fight..

Shane didn't complain that he over trained. This opinion is why nobody respects *******s.

The reason *******s have to say what they say about Floyd is because they hate hearing that there is one fighter out there who is better than their hero. *******s hope Floyd goes to jail, they come up with all kinds of excuses for the other guy when it comes to Floyd winning. They verbally treat Floyd as if he's never earned anything in the ring, and it's all because of Floyd's big mouth lol.

And for people who don't know, a boxing training camp is designed to carve the body into it's most perfect form possible for a fight. It starts off slow and then it builds up until a peak is reached. That's why it usually never goes past 8 weeks, because you can only stay at your peak for so long before your performance drops. That's why it's a bad idea to start early- and shane mosley started too early.. an entire training camp too early.

Btw if the counter argument is that fighters used to fight multiple times at a time before instead of a few times a year, that's because their opponents were doing the same thing. Having a training camp means you're at 100%, fighting another person that is at 100%. And floyd was 100% for that fight while shane wasn't.

              just a few things.....

              1. Shane said he was being very careful not to overtrain. He even made mention of this in the 24/7 leading into the fight where he said training had slowed down considerably heading into the fight. This is a guy with over 15 years experience as a pro and a great trainer in Richardson.

              2. How does Floyd never overtrain despite training harder than anyone in the sport?? Just FYI he had a full training session on the Thursday night before the fight on Saturday.

If anyone overtrained it was Mayweather!!!

sayin shane was overtrained is like sayin floyd or bernard were overtrained for a fight,it doesn't really make any sense when those fighters always seem to be in the gym and training
