Comments Thread For: Rodriguez vs McGirt in The Works For ShoBox on 11/5

It's been reported by Alex Espinera that super middleweight Edwin Rodriguez (16-0, 12KOs) will face James "Buddy" McGirt Jr. (22-2-1, 11KOs) in the main event of a ShoBox broadcast on November 5 on Showtime. Rodriguez is going against his best opponent to date. He already fought three times in 2010 and knocked out all three opponents. McGirt is still attempting to rebuild after a few bad performances. He won his last three contest after being upset by Angel Rodriguez in January 2009.

Edwin is still a little raw , but if McGirt hasn't learned from his loses he'll have little left of his career.

Hmmm....is McGirt not like 90 years old??? What will this prove if Edwin wins? Nothing! I mean seriously McGirt is old (like 46 years old). If Edwin losses it will prove that he is not the real deal but if he wins it does not really say much to me. Well, I'll be glad to watch the fight, anyhow!

It's Jr and not Sr boxing.
His dad is in the corner though, ready to throw in the towel
