  • Comments Thread For: Klitschko: David Haye is a Chicken, Briggs' Asthma Excuse

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is counting down the days to this Saturday's defense against former titlist Shannon Briggs at the 02 World Arena in Altona, Hamburg, Germany. Klitschko (40-2, 38 KOs) still believes Briggs is using his asthma condition as a ready-made excuse in the event that he loses on Saturday. Briggs has been very upset with Klitschko's position on the asthma issue.

Man... im seriously getting tired of reading about Haye and the Klitchkos. I don't like Haye all that much, but anyways... find a neutral site (prob Staples Center, Vegas, MSG or Atlantic City; just away from Europe) and have it be 60-40 for the winner and if a stoppage of any kind is awarded then do some sort of incentives, or 65-35 for the winner. JUST FIGHT ALREADY!

Vitali picked opponent who was 80lbs overweight

The fact that Vitali picked an opponent who had to lose 80lbs says a lot about what kind of champion he is.

The fact the man in your avatar, Cassius Clay, had to pick a guy who just got out of the hospital from a gun-shot wound to his stomach and who had a semi-paralyzed left leg and several feet of itenstines taken out, say a lot about him, and then he lost to a LHW who had 8 fights under his belt.

And yet this is the heavyweight that Wladimir Klitschko aspires to be.

                Funny world, eh?

How right you are. I was around all through Ali's career, even Marciano's as well, and I can say that they stooped very low when they practically dug poor old Cleveland Williams up, practic ally off a sick bed. They thought he was going to die over and over, Benbow gave him up, and I believe he died on a the table a couple of times as as well.

Yet, Ali was a great fighter whereas Marciano was one of the worst.

He was never a great fighter, just a hell of a wallop, and stood up to Liston's bombs a couple of times for short and sweet scraps..

Cleveland Williams and Liston I mean. 2 scraps with a no surrender theme in each.
