career wise, it was a good decision and a great move. In regards
to the drug testing issue....... That could have not been a big deal
at all if Manny would have just agreed to it for the fight in March
but he didn't and that's what made it a big, ongoing back and forth
debate. Some will say that Floyd asked Manny for the tests because
he knew Manny wouldn't agree, then the fight wouldn't happen but
I say that is Bull****. If someone told me that all I had to do was
give blood to get a chance at beating an undefeated fighter and making
millions, I would be the first in line with my arm out if I knew for sure
I'm legit. Never saw what the big deal was? Oh, he accused me and
called me names "BOO HOO" prove em wrong by making it happen.
BUT I am neither Manny or rich.
The second round of negotiations seemed more like Bob Arum
trying to take the heat off of Manny not wanting to take the
tests and putting the blame on Mayweather (like he always does).
I know some of you on here most likely just started watching boxing
or are just fans of one fighter but in this sport it takes two to tango.
I just don't get how posters on here praise Manny when in actuality
alot of the excuses and crap has come out of their camp. I like Manny
as a fighter but for sure like Floyd, he is no angel. In my opinion I
believe Arum is the reason alot of fights with Golden Boy don't happen.
Just amazes me how a promoter (Arum) can control so many fighters
career basically giving them no say so in their opponents. Until
people start opening their minds, they will always be manipulated
into believing something that's not true.

Maybe he didnt take the fight because of the Arum clause where he had to take out the buy-out clause in his existing contract or not we would never know for sure but he does sound like he feared Margarito from his comments here.Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.
Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.
"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."
entertainment boxing wise but against someone that can
actually box and brawl he loses. I think Floyd moving up
to 154 to fight Oscar was more dangerous than a fight with
Margarito. All of that was politically driven because like
what I posted above, Arum didn't want to get Mayweather
the big money fight with Oscar so he left. Plain and simple.
How can anyone say Margarito had anyone under pressure
when he was possibly cheating the whole time? The man
was/is already bigger than alot of fighters at 147 but he
still needed to use an illegal plaster substance to beat them?
Margarito moved up to 154 and couldn't even beat Daniel Santos
2x BUT a smaller Floyd moved up to 154 to face a bigger
heavier fighter in De La Hoya with Freddie Roach in his
corner and with the gloves Oscar wanted. Oscar even
sparred with Mosley for Floyd. Oscar had all the advantages
at that weight and still lost. Margarito faced another fighter
his size and got beat. I could never say Floyd ducked Margarito
because he beat better fighters than Margarito.

Funny how people are quick to jump on PBF for not fighting this and that person but when Manny skips over people like Nate Campbell, Tim Bradley, and Mosley it's all good? Then those same people come up with so many excuses on why those fights didn't happen, just like people come up with the same excuses for Floyd. Honestly, most of the people on this site are biased as heck. Very seldom do you see someone on here calling it even right down the middle. But that's what happens when people become fans of fighters before they become fans of the sport. I'll call the same BS for Manny as I do for Floyd. Granted these guys can't fight every single fighter out there but come on, I mean who was clamoring for a Pac vs Margs fight? I can't name one person that was hoping for that match-up. Manny vs Bradley or Mosley or almost anybody else would of been better. PBF vs Pac or Martinez or Pwill are the good fights for PBF and people have said so but it doesn't seem like they have the same will to call out Pac for not fighting someone who could pose a threat or deserves it. I'd have no problem with the Pac vs Margs fight if Margs would have come back the right way and worked his way back up the ladder, but even Roach said it "I've seen your last 2 fights." Roach didn't say that cause Margs was destroying people and looking impressive, he said it cause he knows Margs is less than what he used to be. And that is supposed to be some type of accomplishment beating a disgraced man who is 2 fights removed from being knocked out and 1 fight away from looking like crap? Let's not forget at a catchweight for a vacant title. While i'm on the subject someone please tell Pwill to step his game up as well with his catchweight fight coming up for a title. The heck is wrong with fighters nowadays!? Also, PBF needs to step up to the plate cause he's looking like a straight up punk right now.
is pulling this crap about not fighting the best and toughest but
seems like we have alot of good matches coming up to end the year
off and start it up strong in 2011. I said this a long time ago that if
Floyd doesn't give a **** then don't give a **** but if he wants the
respect from all of the boxing fans, then just fight the best and stop
crying about how people give you a hard time. I know Floyd is not
always right but the reason why I take his side on some things is
that, just because he is not always right doesn't mean he is always
wrong. Definitely not feeling this mother Theresa picture everyone
is painting Manny Pacquiao to be especially after all the BS that
has been coming out of his camp.
