Let me remind you that Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez was not on top shape either when they fought Floyd Mayweather.

Juan Manuel Marquez looked weak against Juan Diaz. -
mosley that tied against mora was coming off a major loss. mosley that lost to mayweather was coming off a ko victory against the hyped up resto wannabe that pac is fighting. the marquez that fought mayweather came off a ko victory unifying the lightweight division, duran made the same move up to welterweight against a better champ in sugar ray leonard and won.Comment

I don't know.. I've been a Margarito fan for 8 years now and I've never seen anyone with more heart or more to prove than him.
And he keeps saying that he's feeling better than he's ever felt and that he's working harder on this fight than he's ever worked.
Maybe it's just hype, but from everything i've seen on his training and his attitude, and what his team is saying about him sounds legit. They all agree that this is the best version of Margarito ever.
We can't know for sure until the 13th, but I actually have my money on Margarito. He's a very very very live underdog right now.
also: Margarito's manager publicly announced that he told Margarito to back up against Garcia. He just wanted him to take the decision and walk away to get ready for the next big fight. Plus Margarito came into the Shane Mosley camp completely unprepared, it's understandable because he just became a world champion and the dream he's been chasing his entire life came true. Not only was he not in 100% shape, but had to drain himself to the extreme to make the weight. On top of being caught with plaster in his hands, that probably took him off his game plan completely, as he didn't know if what happened to resto was going to happen to him.

if what you say happens then it changes the entire welterweight division dramatically and i will have to eat my words but ultimately this fight does not deserve a title for a vacant jr middleweight belt and top rank is really great at hyping up pacs opponents remember the fools that really thought clottey was gonna do it?Comment

marg was never that good to be honest with you. i don't know why he was so feared if cotto had any stamina it would have been a one sided fight. he always had very limited boxing skills,too fucking slow. very poor leg movement.Comment
