I gotta say, the timing and everything surrounding it sounds suspect. That "blow" was just a glancing hit, but in the end, he has nothing to say to me, I respect him as a fighter. If he ends up fighting again, I will call BS on this and not support him for defrauding the public
If you were in Andre Dirrell's shoes and you're nuerological issues were legit

it depends on how long before the symptoms clear up. if he gets clearance to fight in just a short period of time then something is not right. nuerological can be lingering problems and even the symptoms clear up it could still come back. if dirrel's issue is serious he really needs to retire so as not to jeopardize his health.Comment

If Dirrel is faking it, which I hope not that would cause me to hate Dirrel even more than I already do. So hopefully his problem is legit. I'm not saying that as wishing anything bad on the guy. I just don't want to have to dislike him anymore than I already do.Comment

and i dont believe the nuerological disorder thing, i think it's post-concussive syndrome IF anything at allComment

if it's not nuerological then his problem is more psychological. either way he shouldn't go back to boxing within a year. those kind of issues are harder to treat than pysical injuries because treatment depends more on the person involved than any help from doctors.Comment

It's supposedly a neurological disorder, not a common cold. It's too bad Ali didn't wait around for his Parkinson's to clear up before retiring
There's only 2 ways to prove this story of theirs- 1) release the medical records that point to a SPECIFIC disorder, not just some vague, unnamed "neurological issue", as well as CAT Scans, MRIs, etc. 2) Retire.
But of course there will be no evidence of any sort released publicly, because there isn't any. And not only will Dirrell not retire, we will see him in the ring early next year probably.Comment
