Williams will lose whatever marketability he has after Martinez taxes that ass
honestly I see Martinez beating Williams pretty decisively. If Martinez' stamina is there...then it's a wrap for Paul Williams.

As long as neither guy gets blasted away and they give another FOTY candidate battle, neither one loses any marketability- win or lose. Martinez lost a close toss up decision (despite what that ass clown Pierre Benoist said) and he was rewarded a with a shot at the lineal middleweight championship, which he won. If Martinez wins by split decision, then people will be calling for a rubber match naturally. But like after their first bout, they can put it on the shelf and take on other bouts. Williams fighting Pac and landing a 24/7 will vastly increase his recognizability/brand as well as his bank account. Then when he goes to the negotiating table for a Williams-Martinez III, he will have ALL the leverage.

If he loses to Pac, he still wins in the long run. If he wins, he instantly becomes the #1 P4P fighter in the world. It's a no-lose proposition.

Buboy (From a week ago):"But after Margarito, there are many more competitive fights out there for Manny. Andre Berto, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Paul Williams are tough opponents. Of course, there’s Floyd Mayweather, too. Manny will beat them all. This is his time.”
Cotto-Chavez in the Spring eliminates both. Berto is happy fighting journeymen and robbing HBO blind, he's fallen off hard. So that leaves Paul.

Williams has been going on about wanting to go back to 147 for big money fights, that's probably the main reason for his catchweight- he wants to come in light but also make sure Sergio isn't a lot heavier than him... all so he has an easier time making the WW limit. He's convinced that Floyd will never fight him, and he should know since they have the same manager/adviser, but he thinks Pac will take the bait. And now Pac's side, from Buboy to Arum, is talking Punisher for their next fight.

Poochiao probably thinks if Haye can beat Valuev with his 9 inch ht, why can't Pac beat Williams, with the same ht advantage?

              hahaha

That's not happening, but if for some reason Floyd isn't available Sergio Martinez at 154 should be explored. That would be a helluva fight

He could have fought williams at 147lbs? Instead pacmans dad wanted him to fight a washed up de la hoya and a overrated clottey. Arum could have chosen to put his son (pac) in the ring with a better boxer. Why not give marquez another fight all the fight fans know j.m marquez was both fights if it wasn't for the decisions. If You think arum hasn't spoon fed pac then your retarted.

As for williams vs pac, if margarito could touch up williams face, what's a accurate, fast, mobile, fleet footed, power puncher like pac gonna do?

See sharmba mitchell vs paul williams.

That was a shot, fat, past prime williams who continuously landed on pwill. pac & mitchell are just about the same height.

Meh ... you missed the point. Pac V Williams is NOT happening end off!
The height, reach and weight advantages and factor in the caliber of opponent in Williams they will not risk Pac loosing and ruining
                      the super fight.

Sure they were successful in beating taller fighters but Pac hasnt been. Hes not beaten anyone decent close to 6ft2/3.

Also it was not that long ago they turned down Yuri Foreman ... for guess what ... being TOO TALL LOL!!
