how long ago? this is pacs third fight above jr welterweight...he only had 2 fights as a welterweight (you cannot include the circus show against delahoya, because that what that was) beating two TOP 5 welterweights (cotto and clottey)...i mean, both cotto and clottey (and felony fraud jr) has been welterweights longer than pac and you say pac couldve fought p williams long time ago...how long time ago? when pac was still a featherweight?

You fa99ots kill me. Like I have stated repeatedly.....Pacquiao just fought at 130 two years ago and now you want him to fight MWs?

You guys obviously hold Manny to an extremely high level, because I have never heard of anyone running through weight classes like that.

What is going on is Manny is progressively moving up and seeing how he does and where his cap is at.

After Marquez, most thought 135 would be his limit, and then he went on to destroy David Diaz.

After the Oscar fight......Everyone, including Arum said there is no way he could face and beat the Top WW's like Cotto, Clottey, Margarito etc.

Next they thought 140 would be about as high as he could go, then he crushes Hatton.

Then it was "Cotto is too big and Manny is over his head" and we saw what happened with that one. Also during Cotto vs Clottey, Steward as well as other repitable people in boxing stated Clottey (who has rehydrated as high as 170) was too big and there was no way he would fight him.

I could go on but the point is this; Pacquiao is given challenges and once he passes them, he then move on to face bigger fighters. Who is it to say they wont face Martinez or Williams? The thing is Manny has to show the able to handle guys who are much bigger than him.......and if he destroys Margarito and Tony's reach, height, and weight advantage prove to be no problem for Manny.....then I could defiantly see Top Rank looking at Manny vs. Martinez/Williams winner.

I mean it's ****in pathetic how hard you guys go about trying to make Manny look like a ducker. Most thought he wouldn't fight higher than 126 and now he is dominating WW's.

Theres a reason the HW division is 200+ pounds and the lower divisions sre only a few pounds apart.

Who said Hatton, DLH, Cotto and Clottey were too big?

Williams is next for Pacquiao, at 147. The same people who said Hatton was too big, same with Cotto, Margarito, etc will say the same thing about Paul.

Pac could use Russell Jordan as his main sparring partner.

Stop *****ing about the height because boxing does not have a height class. He should fight Williams if Williams can make 147.

people talking as if Williams getting past Sergio is a sure thing

Williams will lose whatever marketability he has after Martinez taxes that ass

First, I doubt Williams even gets past Martinez.

Second, the height won't be a big deal at all, but at the same time Manny can't just leap frog over these divisions and face MW's such as Williams and Martinez.

It's a progression...just like Tito when he was gunning for Jones at LHW. He didn't just shoot up the divisions for a Roy fight....rather was given test each step of the way (unfortunately B-hop happened).
