At the Sporthalle Wandsbek in Hamburg, Germany, former Euro champion and 1996 Olympic bronze medal winner Thomas Ulrich (32-5, 22 KOs) snapped a two fight losing streak to stop Gyula Gaspar (12-9-1, 6 KOs) in the third round. Ulrich had been away from the ring since March 2009. He suffered two knockout defeats to unknown opponents Yuri Barashian and Mariano Nicolas Plotinsky. Both Barashian and Plotinsky have been knocked out in their recent bouts.
