Why did Hatton retire so early?

Sure he lost to the two best fighters of our time, but he still could have been a hall of famer, and he was in his prime- to me, he was still a contender.

He used to be the Junior Welterweight big dog, and there's a whole new litter coming up right now. There could have been so many good fights if Hatton didn't throw his life away.

Doesnt want to lose all the weight he gains, ends up being in training camp JUST to lose the weight and little time spent on a game plan sharpening his boxing skills more

I was wondering the same thing. He had two knock out losses and the whole world was screaming for him to retire.

He got put down by the single most devastating punch in the elite level of the lower weight classes since Hearns FRIED Durán.
