Comments Thread For: BJ Flores: After I'm Done, Danny Green Will Move Down
BoxingScene.com recently ran a story in which IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green was in line to fight IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute at a catch-weight in 2011.
I hope BJ wins, I'm tired of hearing Green talk like he's great. Seriously, Green isn't that good. I watched him spar Toney on youtube a few years back, he was utterly owned. He should've fought another Briggs type fighter to milk it some more. How bout a Mundine rematch? BJ please shut him up
Wow. I think we've found a hater site gentleman. And nothing breeds haters like the sport of boxing! Green might be a natural light heavy but I have no doubt he can beat the best of the cruisers and Flores certainly isnt that. The roid munching photos of Flores recently dont do much to convince me he has the skills to take Green. BJ is untested with his best win against the Dingaling man who he ran from in the later rounds. So lads keep hating, but Flores isnt your man to do the job. Green will send put his lights out. And in response to the tired old comment about Green's sparring session with Toney....next. It was years ago when Green was at super middle and Toney was...not sure what, cruiser or heavyweight (fat). Besides sparring is sparring. Some fool always dredges that up! Cant wait for the fight anyway.
haven't seen Green fight, but I have seen BJ. He's a talented boxer, to be sure, but the man drops his right hand every time he throws a punch. Someone with decent timing and a good left hook would knock him out inside of three. None of the current rash of cruiserweight champs will make me forget James Toney or Vasilly Jirov.
