Comments Thread For: Maidana Not Concerned With Khan's Talks, Stays Focused
BoxingScene.com was on hand at Marcos Maidana's training camp in Las Vegas, Nevada as he prepares for his December 11th showdown with WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan.
Somebody make sure an ambulance is standing ready on Dec. 11th at the Mandalay Bay because after Amir is done with Maidana, Maidana will go home with the bus.
hmm unlikely i think. Khan will be sitting back all night using his reach to jab his way to a UD imo. Maidana i think will be frustrated most of the night but WILL land a few punches from those heavy hands.
if Khan tries to get involved more then that might make it interesting...
IMO all of Khan's talking makes me think he is a bit worried about Maidana..Maidana is going to be right there for all 12 rds and I know Khan is a better boxer but Maidana is skilled at his pressure fighting style..Maidana is going to lay Khan out in 4 to 6 rds..

Lol.. Maidana will gas after 8 rounds. Sure he's probably training harder than he ever has, definitely more so that the Chop-chop fight, but Khan will tire him out. Khan's movement, jab and quick-fire combos will land flush on Maidana, who is a terrible boxer with no real defense (Ortiz fight).
Maidana's only hope is to pressure Khan and constantly be on the front foot - but he's then vulnerable to Khan's jab. He needs to swing big and hope he lands that right hand. Maidana will gas and will be way behind on the cards before he falls victim to a Khan combo that puts him on the floor in the 10th, he'll get up but the Referee will put an end to things. 10th Round TKO for Khan.

Can't be mad at this post,Khan is the better boxer an I might have agreed with you if not for Khan's chin..He was put out by a fighter who does not hit as hard as Maidana and has been floored many times by way lesser fighters then Maidana..Khan will not be able to avoid Maidana's punches all night and when Khan slows down(which he will from body shots)it will be lights out..
As for the Ortiz fight,Ortiz is a really good boxer IMO just as good as Khan with a slight edge to Khan in the skills department..Ortiz I believe hits harder then Khan and most definitely takes a better punch..IMO Maidana's win over Ortiz spoke in volume to what he can do to a good boxer with his pressure style of fighting..Not to mention what he did to a kid with good movement in Cayo..Maidana is not the best Boxer, that does not mean he is not a really good fighter..Oh and one last thing Maidana and Khan although I don't see neither beating Bradley I think Madana is the biggest threat to everybody in the div at the moment...
Khan is doing an amazing job of putting more pressure on HIMSELF by opening his mouth. Big talk doesn't help against fighters like Maidana.. He is going to come to destroy you and you just keep adding fuel. Good luck to both men.. I personally would like to see Rene win... Then maybe Victor vs Amir???
i got a feeling khan thinks hes an elite fighter n thinks he will beat madaina easy untill he gets hit in his trash tlken mouth that hasnt proven nothing and is chinny madaina by brutal ko n it wont be an upset madaina has fought better opp and already beat 1 of the top 140 pounders
