pwill is the only fighter that i think can beat pacquiao but he would have to fight like the klitchkos and just throw 1-2's from the outside all night. when pac gets in close then pwill should clinch and lean down on him to drain him, also pwill can jab to the body and move and win points........if pwill does that he will outpoint pacquiao

I'm watching Williams-Martinez right now and I have to say, I don't see Williams being able to beat Pac. In fact, I would put money on Manny brutally KOing him within 6... I'm talking Hatton style here.

The only thing Paul has going for him (besides stamina) is his height and freakish reach, but he doesn't use these attributes effectively. Sergio was literally landing every right hook he threw because not only does Paul not have any head movement, he apparently never learned how to block. Also, Paul throws wide looping hooks which leave him wide open for a fast counter-puncher like Pac/Sergio and when he jabs he leans forward and is off balance.

He was struggling with Sergio's movement because he (Williams) has absolutely no footwork or balance.

I see Pac dancing in and out, keeping Paul off balance by turning him, landing a constant barrage to the body (cutting down to 147, he'll feel it) and countering with Manila Ice aka 'same move every time, right hook, duck under'.

Paul couldn't deal with Sergio's movement and speed, and he's a poor man's Pacquiao, albeit bigger... but that doesn't matter unless like Check_Hooks says, he all of a sudden decides to use his advantages and fights like Wlad. But I don't see that happening and he will just rush in, with no defense, off balance, throwing wild punches, leaving himself completely open to a murderous puncher.

      Pacquiao KO 6.

There's absolutely no way anyone who fights like this wins against Pacquiao, don't care how big he is:

If Sergio had Pac's speed, power, stamina, and killer instinct this wouldn't have been a fight.

Why do people think Manny will duck Pwilliams? I mean nobody has as much clout as Pacquiao in boxing (maybe Darchinyan).

Dude will fight anyone so the ball is in Williams court. He has to do 3 things to make this fight happen

          1. Beat Sergio Martinez decisively

          2. Get down to 147 and show that he can still be legit at that weight class.

          3. accept a 30 maybe 35% split for this to happen.

Dude probably wont be able to do a single one of those things....making this whole conversation of him vs Pacquiao a moot point.

Eh, I think he'll do whatever he needs to do to win the Pacquiao megamillions sweepstakes. I also don't think he needs to beat Martinez decisively, he just has to make it another close fight and not get dominated/KOed. Sergio went on to fight for and win the lineal Middleweight championship after losing a close split decision, Paul can do the same by landing a megafight w/ Pac based on his performance.

Well I stated "decisively" in the sense that if there is another close fight....then there will be a high demand for a third fight. Williams has to clearly beat Martinez as to leave no doubts who is the better man.

And as for him doing anything to land the Pacquiao sweep stake....Paul will demand a 50-50 split and want the fight at 154......only to turn around and claim Manny is ducking him.

Considering how much of a big deal Williams and Goosen made about their desire to move back to 147, I don't see a problem with it at all.

They can save the fight for later like they did last time out. If the rematch is as good/close as the first, that raises both guys' profiles even further. Williams will take on Pac and the buzz will be crazy, he'll be on 24/7, start to become a household name, do huge numbers in PPV/gate... and then he'll have the massive upperhand in negotiations for Williams-Martinez III, he can finally have a reason to act like a star/draw for once.

Plus he'll make bank against Pac and have the chance to become the #1 PFP fighter in the world. It's a no lose situation for both Pac and Williams, especially Paul.
