Can you believe Lewis flattened Briggs THIRTEEN years ago? This fight is a joke on so many levels.

For what it's worth i think Vitali is wrong. Haye has plenty of speed and power, the reason why he wouldn't win is because of either a) his chin or b) his low punch output/stamina. Or just a combination of both, Haye has plenty of speed and power to worry a Klitschko but a big shot from a Klitschko would probably KO him and he can't win a decision with his punch output.

I didn't realise it was that long ago to be honest. It doesn't do a lot for restoring the credibilty of the HW division when guys are getting title shots simply because they had name value a decade ago.

No, I can't believe it because it was actually TWELVE years ago.

And can you believe Vitali flattened Herbie Hide TWELVE years ago, to win the WBO title?

Vitali is old too. The prime version of Vitali that stopped Hide in two rounds would have stopped a mediocre opponent like Sosnowski in an early round.

I've read there is a good chance Adamek will fight a Klitschko in March 2011 in a big event in Poland, but probably Wladimir.

I think that Haye could have the edge in speed against a Klitschko but perhaps not on power. Haye seems to look for the big shot all the time whereas Wlads jab is a powershot in its own right and he throws them all night.

I think the issue I saw when watching Haye - Ruiz is that Haye seemed to be gassed out by the 4th/5th rounds and Ruiz did seemt o catch him with a lot of jabs. Could be a worry if he cant keep up the pressure against Wlad (which is what I think is the key to beating him - sustained aggression - easier said than done)

Vitali is past his best but still dominant and it would be a shame if Haye waited for him to age even more. Wlad is pretty much in his prime now and Haye should step up and fight him. Would be his biggest payday and if he won he would be THE man at HW.

I dont buy all the slave contract bull****e - you want to be the best then sign the fight and prove it.

Vitali should have one more fight - maybe Adamek (it would be huge in Europe) and then retire.

to all those who are saying Vitali and Wlad are fighting bums, well they have no more choices since the top "contenders" are afraid of them. So what are they supposed to do if Haye,Adamaek, Boytsov, Povetkin dont want to fight them? They have to keep busy, they want to fight 3-4 times a year unlike that coward Haye.

Fact is that they want to fight the BEST and Offered to fight everyone, but everyone keeps ducking them. People under estimate how dominant they are, they make people look like bums. If they retired the "HW" division would magicaly be better with action fights.

Nobody has the balls to manup except warriors like Samuel Peter and Briggs. Samuel Peter only got KO'd by the brothers and he STILL got into the ring with them after that. Look at what Haye is doing, hes scared to even get into the ring.

Have to agree with this - its a sad time in the division if the Champions have to go looking for someone to fight them.
