I like both of these warriors. Lopez is a bad ass and so is rafa. Their will be a ko on this one. Rafa has been in too many wars and lopez is still young and new. Anyone can win here. Im pulling for rafa on this one.

Juanma could retain his title for a while, if he beats Rafa. Cotto on the other hand I don't see holding the title for more than 2 fights. Vasquez is still getting better, and if faced properly he can eventually unify.

PR has 3 champions now...but next year it will be 0 champs !!!! because :

        Gamboa > Juanma @ 126
        Rigondeaux > Vazquez Jr @ 122
        Lara > Cotto @ 154

Mark my words.... the cubans are comming to stay

This is a very dangerous fight for Lopez. Don't get me wrong he has quite a bit of advantages on his side. Youth, strength, size, probably the better chin, etc. By all accounts he SHOULD win.

But Marquez is dangerous even in his older state because he really packs some lead in those gloves and has enough real technical ability that if you don't take him out early you are going to be absorbing a lot of punishment and your staying power will be tested to a higher degree.

A victory for Juanma will solidify his place as one of the stronger rising fighters in the sport today and a legitimate threat to ANYONE who would dare challenge him.

A victory for Rafael Marquez will add another star to his great legacy and give us one of those great moments in boxing when an upset happens in impressive and awe-inspiring fashion.

That is your opinion and I respect it, but I am going to mark your words and follow all of these fights - if Cuba > PR all props to you, if not, I'm coming back to haunt you with your own words.

Co-Sign, damn I cant wait for this fight - should answer a lot of ?'s about both of these guys. Even tho Rafa is older now, and not prime, hes still great and he will be by far, the most dangerous and all around best fighter that Juanma faced so far so lets see what happens.

That prospect he mentioned (Camilo Perez) looks great, he's not even a pro and he's like 16 years old but he has some serious skills, I'll follow his carrer as soon as he turns pro.
