    The state of Mexican boxing

A lot of people think mexican boxing lacks an idol like Chavez Morales or Barrera another "next big thing" but people fail to realize mexico has most champions right now than any other country
most of the champions are solid and a lot of prospects have title fights soon making the reality of the majority of world champions belonging to mexico remain like that
Now as far as another idol lets not forget about marquez, the current n3 in the p4p list is being discredited by many for being too old, but when morales and barrera reached the prime of their popularity they were also being seen as past their prime fighters
Marquez is everybit as good as morales or barrera and proof of that is how highly he is ranked as a p4p fighter, he doesnt show signs of slowing down like other top contenders (AHEM) Soto
instead of waiting for victor ortiz chavez jr angulo or canelo support marquez, montiel cazares segura and the other excellent champs that mexico brings to the table

agreed, for years boxing was not shown in free tv in mexico, starting with the chavez fights, ppv seriously damaged boxing, im seeing a revival of boxing with the involvement again from televisa and now also television azteca, the sport is having more exposure and young fighters are having better oportunities, theres still a gap coming from those days, but the new batch of mexican warriors are starting to make noise... i see a bright future for our fighters..

even our beer is a big sponsor in boxing, ive never seen that many tecate signs in mexico....
