Thats an insult. The kid seems destined for true greatness. De la hoya failed all his biggest tests (trinidad,hopkins,mayweather, pacquiao). He won his first couple of titles from past their prime fighters. He was a product of the media. Got paid a lot of money based on his looks not skills. Main example mexicans use when they say mexican-american fighters dont have as much heart as "100% mexicans". The man was great but these two kids benavidez and gomez seem like the real deal.

future dlh in terms of what marketability? nah, dlh rode the wave of the olympics into his pro career. the hype isnt nearly as much for benavidez. i know he's young, but oscar hit the ground running as far as marketing goes.
in terms of a career, i dont think he'll be another oscar either. i expect him to legitimately win the majority of his future big fights unlike oscar.

In terms of impact to the imagination of the american public, Dela Hoya was the second coming of Sugar Ray Leonard, no way will Benavidez have that.
