They are nothing alike, almost polar opposites.
It is obvious what kind of tactics Bernard may have to resort to in order to counter Pascal's speed. I don't think that this will be a very pretty fight.
I was more meaning the mental edge that Hopkins will have.
The edge that he had against Pavlik, but did not have against an even shot Roy Jones.
He will be more confident, and exploit Pascal's inexperience, just like he did with the one-dimensional Pavlik. Pavlik could not adjust, but Pascal has better movement and more options than Pavlik did, so we shall see.
But can he adjust if the gameplan doesn't work, or if Nard adjusts and starts feeding off it? Especially under pressure, when Hopkins takes him down to the basement?Last edited by LeadUppercut; 10-09-2010, 09:55 PM.Comment

This could be the kind of fight where Pascal wakes up the next morning and still has no idea how or why he lost.
And when he looks back on his career in hindsight, it may occur to him that getting up at 5am was never as easy after the Hopkins fight
We will see how much Hopkins has left, because that is the determining factor in this fight. We would not even be discussing this a few years ago.Comment
