I just looked up Archie Moore's record. Wow, that guy fought 221 times. Retired with a W 186 with 131 KO's, 24 losses and 11 draws. He was a real active fighter. Why don't fighters these days fight a fraction of that? We are lucky to get a title defense once a year.Comment

they want one 10mil fight a year then live off the rest of the year partying, back then boxing was taken a lot more serious than it is now seeing as how they didn't get paid nowhere near the amounts of nowComment

I read on this forum they get something like 40% of it, but then there's also under the table cash money and such, I don't think fighters are that dumb, they might take some 5mil fights but they'd be getting another 5mil all to themselves undeclared. I find it horrible how you're the one achieving it all and all you get is 40%, if I ever I go pro I'm becoming my own manager right there is 30%Comment
