Question for you JuyJuy... if their being washed up is so important, why did you post it after the fight was over? Why not make this post insulting them the day before the fight? Excuses for why Reid got killed, and why Calzaghe is going to get killed.

I've been saying for months on this site that Reid and Calzaghe are washed up and will both lose by TKO to Lacy. Look back over my posts, it's not rocket science either.

JuJuy can easily switch gear. This idiot said Ted Kid Lewis was the best boxer in the world and then on another topic, he said Louis. then reverse his commment to when he was boxing and finally at one time.. Idiot, he could not be rated higher then Jack Johnson or Dempsey you piece of ****. Then again he rated Naz higher than that transplanted Lewis. Idiot, MAB slapped that ***** and called him a clown and retired that sucker and you rank him ahead of Lennox Lewis. Please idiot justy talk about Tyson and Benn and stop talking about your boyfriend Eubank. Collins washes off that enigmatic boring uninspiring full of crap. And yeah that's the same Collins that McCallum beat the living shiet out of him you idiot.

Calzaghe is not washed up... That's crazy!

JuyJuy, you do know why Calzaghe has looked a bit off form recently?

About 18 months ago, Joe Calzaghe had a bitter split up with his wife and they dragged it through the courts. As is the fashion with football players these days, in court she was awarded a percentage of his future earnings.

Well he's obviously pissed off with her and he appealed to the court saying, "I've gotta go into the professional Boxing ring as a World champion and risk getting brain damage, only for my ex-wife to take a percentage of my purse whilst sitting on her ass at home!"

So at 1st he said, "f**k it, I'll quit then!" - But after his father (trainer/manager) sat him down and talked to him - Joe Calzaghe decided to continue fighting.

At the time this was all going on, was the time he went 12 rounds and got put on his ass by Kabray Salem. Calzaghe won all of the 12 rounds on the scorecards, but the "dodgey" signs were showing.

When he got knocked down by the Egyptian (Salem), from a boxers point of view it was because he left his chin in the air after delivering a combination... Which suggested that he'd been doing a lot of work on the pads, but no sparring!

Anyway... In his last fight against Mario Veit, he looked awesome, So I'm hoping that he's sorted out his problems and is gonna move on to bigger and better things.
This doesn't mean Calzaghe is washed up... Calzaghe will hammer Lacy if/when they meet later in the year.

                  Calzaghe: Lacy made for me!

                  Monday, August 8 2005

CALZAGHE-LACY ON NOV. 5, IF JOE WINS SEPT 10

"I'm delighted that Lacy won and is still undefeated to set up our showdown in November in what will be real super-fight," said WBO super-middleweight king Joe Calzaghe. "That was probably Lacy's best performance yet and impressed me but it's hard to say how good Lacy is because Reid was so poor....I prefer fighters who come forward throwing big punches and Lacy's style is made for me. I'm a completely different fighter to Reid and I'm even more confident of [beating] Lacy now." Calzaghe's promoter Frank Warren has secured a showdown with IBF champ Jeff Lacy on November 5 in Britain but first Calzaghe must first defend his crown for a record 17th time on September 10 at the Cardiff International Arena against TBA. The card will also feature Amir Khan's second pro fight. Tickets are priced at £35, £50, £75 and £125.

I don't think Calzaghe's finished but he's defo gone stale fighting these ordinary opponents & I wonder who his opponent for the September bout will be?

Reid was quoted in the paper this morning saying that Calzaghe was alot quicker and stronger than Lacy and would beat him inside the distance.
