Actually they're probably sparring with 16oz gloves, thats usually what guys use in sparring, except in the last weeks b4 a fight they might switch to 12. You might catch a guy with a good shot n stun him but your not dropping anyone with 16s specially in the gym when you've been doing road work and a ton of conditioning before you even get in the ring. Thats why its funny hearing Khan talk about taking Manny's best (with 16s and headgear plus fatigue from roadwork n conditioning that took place before it) lol

Every fighter is training to knock Pac out, DHL, Hatton, Cotto but it doesn't change the fact that if Pacquiao sharpens all his tools then Margarito won't even lay a glove on Pacquiao and he doesn't risk coming into the fight nackered from sparring partners who are all naturally bigger than him.
