Comments Thread For: Audley Harrison: 'Haye is The Worst of The Three Champions!'

The war of words continue between 2000 Olympic gold medal winner Audley Harrison and WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. Harrison has vowed to knock Haye out on November 13 at the MEN Arena in Manchester. He said most of the heavyweights are pushing to get Haye in the ring because they know he has a glass jaw and is much easier to beat than the Klitschko brothers.

I've got a sneaky feeling Harrison could pull off a huge upset here. Haye is definitely the favourite but will be going for the knock out from the off. If Harrison can avoid it & keep him at bay he could wear him down & take him out later on. I'm not saying thats whats going to happen but I think haye's conditioning is terrible. In the Ruiz fight he looked like he was going to die of exhaustion in hios corner after just a few rounds & against Harrison he is going to look for the impressive early knock out which he could definitely get but if Harrison can avoid his power haye could very well punch himself out. He's only been the distance once & that was against Valuev & he paced himself & didnt throw much. Against Harrison it will be different & he'll be throwing bombs from the off.

Oh come on, I mean, Audley is already kidding himself.

Haye knocked out by a light heavy? Thompson was a bona fide cruiser, for starters, and he hardly beat Haye because of Haye having a fragile jaw. Anybody who has seen the fight knows this argument is a joke. Haye was not fit enough, expected to knock out somebody who, frankly, is tough beyond all reason, and gassed. He could hardly throw a punch before Thompson started hitting him, and a gassed, unfit fighter is never going to stand up to a barrage of punches. Since that fight, Haye has turned up to every subsequent bout in impeccable condition, and never once looked like gassing. Harrison is delusional if he compares that Haye to today's Haye.

In the Ruiz fight he looked like he was going to die of exhaustion in hios corner after just a few rounds
Really... the fight I watched, Haye pounded Ruiz in the face for 9 rounds before the kid quit. Hardly "dying of exhaustion" material. I doubt Harrison has the chin and heart for that kind of punishment. I mean, he went into a shell against the likes of Rogan and Sprott, and they are not heavy hitters. When people with pop have hit him, he's gone down like a sack of bricks (Herbie Hide anyone?) and that can hardly give anybody with any knowledge of boxing faith in Harrison's ability to stand up to the punishment that Haye has consistently delivered throughout his career.

One fighter repeatedly goes into his shell, struggled against bums, and has been one punch KO'd. The other is David Haye.

Harrison has more chance of winning the lottery.

No, I dont think so, i reckon it will be an early KO for Haye. Harrison is just a really bad pro, he doesnt know how to do anything else but plod forward with a pawing jab and then telegraph a left hand once hes in range. He has no head movement and is flat footed, Haye should catch him early.

          Haye KO within 3rds

IF Harrison loses he will expose Haye. And Audley will go out on his shield...

Your right he did pound Ruiz for 9 rounds but there were times during the fight where Haye was visibly exhausted from nothing other than bad stamina. When Haye got beat of Thompson it was because he went for the KO & burned himself out when not getting it. If haye catches Harrison its good night but I was saying Harrison coukld have a chance if he manages to stay away from Haye for 6-7 rounds. I honestly want haye to win & to go on to fight Wlad but just have a little seed of doubt because I think Haye is expecting nothing other than an early KO which is a good chance I just dont think he'll train for 12 rounds

These are the facts. Haye has only been past 8 rounds twice and past 10 rounds two other times. And one of those past 10 rounds was the dreadful Valuev fight. And since Haye did absolutely nothing for 12 round in that fight it really does not count. So, he really is, in my opinion, still an unknown commodity when it comes to his conditioning. And one other aspect was the fact that he look gassed against Monte. However, I will agree with you that he pounded Ruiz for 9 rounds. I know because I saw the welts all over the back of Ruiz's head in that rabbit punch foul infested excuse of a fight.
