WBC junior flyweight champion Omar Nino (30-3-2, 12 KOs) will make the second defense of his title against veteran Gilberto Keb Baas (33-20-4, 21 KOs) on November 6 in Mexico. Baas stays busy, having five fights already in 2010, and winning four of them by knockout. Nino takes his fourth fight of the year. He won a decision over Rodel Mayol in June to capture the WBC title. In the co-feature, popular female boxer Ana Maria Torres will defend her super flyweight title against an opponent to be named later.

I was hoping that Omar Nino would fight Giovanni Segura next.

From what I hear, Segura is struggling to make 108. Hopefully if Segura moves up to 112, Nino can next fight Calderon to re-fill the RING title vacancy Segura would leave (assuming Nino wins this one).
