i voted for holyfield. im not saying that holyfield couldve beaten both lewis and tyson, but i just think that holyfield was overall just better. he had the better chin, more heart, more willingness to fight, better competition, and was totally fearless.

everything you've said is correct, and he could have beaten both of them in his prime, hell he was ablt to beat LL in there 2 fight, when he was already done. to bad he got that bomb decision cause they where trying to fix the error from the 1st fight
lol at everyone that voted for Tyson, he lost to both guys, didnt fight the same level of competition of both guys........
unless im mistaken, were supposed to compare these fighters in their respective primes, in which i believe tyson beats holy and lewis.
the fact that both boxers beat tyson in the decline of his career doesnt prove much.
leon spinks beat ali in the decline of his career, but no one believe spinks was better. (i know its a rash example by the way)
The poll's question ("Who was the best?") is questionable itself. As far as I'm concerned, LL was the best heavyweight, and he had the best accomplishments at that weight of any of them. But Evander had the best overall career accomplishments taking into account his light-heavy and cruiser titles, so I voted for him.
In his prime, Tyson may well have been the best fighter, but his career was 3 years of brilliance followed by 15 of mediocrity...
