    Okay... question about Calzaghe/Reid

From what I've seen of Joe Calzaghe I do think he's a good boxer, but there's no mistaking the fact that he HASN'T had a career-defining fight.

If he faces and legitimately beats Jeff Lacy with no perceived "home help" and no dirty tactics (and from what I've seen of Calzaghe he's a clean fighter anyway) would this boost his reputation?

Calzaghe won a split decision against Reid many say he really lost (haven't seen it myself)... so this would seem to be troubling. Yet triangular logic proves nothing, and would Lacy be too green? After tonight... I'm not sure.

It wouldn't make any difference, ****zaghe couldn't beat a guy like Reid, noway I see him beating Lacy. Although Lacy doesn't show any great skills, but Lacy can punch. I will say Lacy will win within 6 rounds by TKO.

If Calzaghe faces and defeats Lacy, his reputation will definitely be improved "across the pond." If he wins, he gains my respect., Well, allow me to change that, if he wins "cleanly." But, if Lacy beats him, everyone will say that he has never faced anyone, and that his legacy is tarnished because he stayed "over there" and fought "lukewarm" opponents. We will just have to wait and see. Should be a good one.

This is the problem, because Calzaghe is approaching "old man" status. If Lacy beats him, then it'll be a career wasted, because we'll never know how good (or not) he could have been in his prime.

Parodius - That's not answering the question at all.
