From what I've seen of Joe Calzaghe I do think he's a good boxer, but there's no mistaking the fact that he HASN'T had a career-defining fight.
If he faces and legitimately beats Jeff Lacy with no perceived "home help" and no dirty tactics (and from what I've seen of Calzaghe he's a clean fighter anyway) would this boost his reputation?
Calzaghe won a split decision against Reid many say he really lost (haven't seen it myself)... so this would seem to be troubling. Yet triangular logic proves nothing, and would Lacy be too green? After tonight... I'm not sure.
