GSP came away impressed with Pacman during visit to Philippines

In terms of popularity in his home country, there's no athlete in the world like Manny Pacquiao. What U.S. athlete can say they're a candidate to make the national news on any given night? Pacman updates hit the Filipino airwaves throughout the year.

Last week, Georges St. Pierre and the UFC benefitted from the coverage. GSP went on a three-day promotional trip and hit Pacquiao's gym. He got a chance to work a little more with Pacman's trainer Freddie Roach and watch Pacquiao in action. He came away impressed saying Pacman is the fastest thing he's ever seen.

I'm sure Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach and Manny "Live in America for 10 years and still have broken english" Pacquiao were bursting with confidence that Georges was impressed.

The guy is a real boxing expert given his career of hugging shirtless men and rolling around with them on the ground.

He's a second citizen here, owns property here, and has lived here consistantly for long periods of time for over 10 years.

You're going for the basic "well he spends more time in the Phillipinnes so technically he lives there!!" arguement but quit while you're ahead. You understood the point i made as well as i did so stop with that nitpicking bullshyt.

He has no American citizenship, but if you're going to pick on him for not speaking English well, then ok.

Spin it how you want, but he's spent 40% of his time here for over 10 years and he still has a hard time coherently stringing more than a few words together at a time.

Then again, i guess that's to be expected from a man who has other people make his decisions for him and has the sense of humor of a 9 year old boy.
