    ???

A Prime Mayweather got hit like that against Chop Chop Corley and Zab Judah

you know your great when the only thing people can talk about is 1 or 2 big hits that was landed on you...YOUR ENTIRE CAREER! lol

people talk as if Corley, Judah and Mosley beat Mayweather just because they was able to land big shots on him, Mayweather would go on to dominate ALL 3, only people who even remember those hits are people who "HATE" Mayweather lol, he has NO Flaws in the ring so I guess that is all people can come up with is those hits

his Boxrec says win, it doesn't say "Mayweather win by UD vs Mosley...BUT almost went down in the 2nd Round" hahaha

that wasn't the question tho...you asked if he would have been caught like that...and he has

and a prime Mayweather might not have clinched and elected to let his hands go...which might have led to more trouble against a prime Shane

But he'd still get rocked by a prime Mosley.

The only difference is Shane's shots would be even faster on a prime level, and he wasn't nearly as wide in his prime as he is now.

(That shot he buckled Floyd with was wide as hell.)

He'd be more crisp, and swift and likely rock him with something entirely different.

And that's no knock on Floyd - Shane's just got that kind of power.

Floyd would still win the fight, but it'd be much more closely fought and at a much higher intensity level.
I don't know about it being a closer fight though. Mayweather was an ANNOYING fighter to fight. Because he was just never there, he wouldn't have gone toe-to-toe against Mosley. He would have ran and pot shot to a signature Mayweather decision.

He's older now and bigger, and didn't feel the need to run away from Mosley even though Mosley still has the power to hurt him. Whether Mayweather chose to fight toe-to-toe or just couldn't use his legs like he use to, I don't know. But what i'm pretty sure of is that a prime, smaller Mayweather, would have boxed Mosley instead of fight him. And that chance of Mosley catching him, wouldn't have been there.

Kev I'm a little confused about the question. You mean would prime Mayweather get hit like that against prime Mosley or prime Mayweather against 38 year old Mosley.

Either way the answer is yes. Prime for prime, that fight would have been more competitive, because to me, prime Mosley was 135 and he was unstoppable. Factor in Mayweathers willingness to trade in his prime and that's a hell of a fight.

I'd still favor Mayweather however, in a close but clear decision..

But the question was would Mosley do it. Not have you seen him get hurt.

I can say prime Mosley can stop a prime Pacquiao because I have seen Pacquiao get stopped before. But would that really be fair? What was Mayweather best year? I would say 130-135 because that's when he us a combination defense, offense, and footwork together. 140-147, is where he's gotten hit the most cleanest.

so you're talking prime vs prime at 135?

i think Shane would have still caught him...people talk about Floyd being a beast at LW, well Shane wasn't too shabby himself at that class

People ask what would a prime Mosley do to this current 33 year old Mayweather. So now i'm asking the same thing, what would this 38 year old Mosley do to a prime Mayweather? Because people[when I say people I mean his haters] act as if Mayweather is still his prime at 33.

A prime Floyd would see it coming.
