As in what? Can you name one single significant thing Pacquiao's done in the Phillipines outside of exploiting his fame to advance his political career?

You realize we're talking about the same guy who wouldnt return to his country to help his people after a devastating typhoon right? Unlike Andre Berto and any other fighter with a conscience, his fight purse was more important than helping his people after a large scale disaster.

Some of you need to find better ways of judging a persons character than looking to what the media says. Unlike Manny "Have other people take control of my destiny and make my decisions for me" Pacquiao, Floyd doesnt need a hundred cameras around him to do a good deed.

and @ Floyd hitting women. The bytch admitted to lying before and this is clearly a case of the same thing. You've obviously never dealt with a scandalous female before.
I guess you forgot about the one where Mayweather himself pleaded guilty involving a different person

his criminal record goes farther back than his humanitarian one.

In 2003, Harris accused Mayweather of assaulting her, but at his trial two years later, she recanted and said she "lied"

In 2005, Mayweather was convicted of an unprovoked attack against two women outside a Las Vegas night club. He received a one-year suspended sentence and ordered to undergo counseling.

the earliest I could pull up a news article or anything about him donating to charity or giving out turkeys is AFTER his first criminal offence. Nothing before that. I challenge you to prove me wrong and find one yourself.. then we'll see who is misinformed "as always".

I'm not going to hit you hard in this thread, but do some research next time.

              Manny Pacquiao aids typhoon victims

Manny Pacquiao interrupted his training this past weekend to assist the recovery in his home country the Philippines, making a substantial financial donation and driving from his training camp to the disaster zone.

"His training's going well, but he's very concerned for the people," Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum, told The Times Monday night. "He had numerous people advising him not to go. Didn't matter. He still went."

What other fighter do you know who puts the same heavy hours into giving back that Floyd does? While other so-called "heros" like Manny Pacquiao won't even return to the Philipinnes to help with a large scale disaster, Floyd is making wishes come true for his terminally ill fans all the time. Not to mention the time he generously puts aside to give turkeys to poor community's even when he's in the middle of a training camp.

We already know he's one of the greatest boxers of all time, but he should also be given the same credit for his humanitarian efforts. Not since Muhammad Ali have we seen a fighter leave a mark on the community like Money Mayweather has. It's time he starts getting the credit he deserves for it.

what was ur agenda again? praising floyd or finding a way to **** on Manny? When you say ****** **** like this, people won't take you serious. Ur facts are wrong, most likely, on purpose...but this has nothing to do with boxing, you're being too emotional. Floyd is great as a boxer, and hopefully as a person. You didn't need to denounce somebody else to 'create' your point, you're actually no better than those who you claim "hate" Floyd. Keep it on boxing

thread starter.. or check hook.. im still waiting for you guys to post a humanitarian act before any of these incidents accured:

In 2002, Floyd Mayweather Jr pleaded guilty to 2 charges of misdemeanor domestic violence.
In 2004, Mayweather received a 1 year suspended jail sentence, was ordered to seek counseling for “impulse control”, and fined a $1000 after being convicted for misdemeanor battery of 2 women in a Las Vegas nightclub.
In 2004, a warrant for his arrest was issued in Grand Rapids, Michigan for failure to appear at a trial. He was accused of kicking a bouncer in the head at a bar. Mayweather pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault and battery. He was fined and ordered to perform community service.
In 2005, Floyd was found innocent in a trial for assaulting his girlfriend outside a Las Vegas club in 2003. The girlfriend, also the mother of his children, changed her story on the stand.
In 2009, Police executed a search warrant on Floyd’s house because witnesses identified Mayweather’s car leaving the scene of a shooting at a Las Vegas skating rink. Witnesses also identified one of Mayweather’s associates as the shooter.

Mayweather is also the only boxer who tells us how much he helps the poor on 24/7, and then turns around and says "if you broke then **** you!"

You stay classy floyd mayweather jr.

Here's a great article for those of you questioning Floyd's humanitarian efforts:

Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr (41-0, 25 KOs) took time from his schedule to grant a wish to a teenager through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The foundation, which was founded 30 years ago, grants various requests to children and young adults around the world who possess life-threatening medical conditions.

                      PHOTO: Mayweather and Armando

Armando Carral, 18, is battling Hodgkins lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects a patient's white blood cells. These are cells of the immune system that battle infectious disease and foreign materials.

Hodkins disease is a form of cancer that has a higher rate of success in terms cure, which can be over 90% especially if detected early.

Armando wanted to visit with the undefeated ring icon. Mayweather spent some time with the teen at the Mayweather Boxing Gym in Las Vegas earlier this week before flying on a private jet to Los Angeles to watch the NBA Finals at courtside.

Instead of hating on him out of insecurity that he's a better human being than your favorite fighters and jealousy for all of his accomplishments, you should be commending him.
