I remember posting about Bute not wanting any and saying how he fought his first 10 or so fights at Lt. Heavyweight, so he could easily move up to 175.

Instead, I had people arguing to the contrary and now this. They could've easily fought Pascal after Brinkley or just vacate move up and not fight Brinkley at all.

Now, Pascal will be tied up until late next year and perhaps more than like lose against Hopkins or Dawson rematch.

Bute and his team knew it all along too. This now becomes a huge duck, not only was Bute-Pascal the biggest fight in Canadian history, it would've been an opportunity for Bute to get The Ring, lineal Championship and the other alphabelt soup belt at Lt. Heavyweight.

This is up there with Lopez' duck of Caballero.

This sums it up pretty well.

If Bute had any sack it would be him and Pascal fighting in December in front of a record Bell Centre crowd.

Bute's career choices and caliber of opponent are eerily Zsolt Erdei-esque. I am not sure why people seem so quick to excuse him every time he blatantly ducks even the mere possibility of fighting a legit world class opponent.

I guess it goes back to, if you can draw 15-20K people in attendance against pretty much anyone and have HBO giving you good money against Andrade and Miranda, why risk it?

Basically, Pascal is untouchable for 2 fights now and Bute can't secure a fight, so everyone crying should STFU
Actually Bute's team said they were'nt interested in Pascal right now. Bute vs Pascal is good for Montreal but not the sport. Not right now.

Bute just became known to the rest of the world 6 months ago. Give him a break. I don't want to see him fight Green and he's probably not going to. This is just the BS media trying to make things that are'nt.

                      Fastblack

Only 3 of Bute’s 26 fights have been outside of Quebec and those 3 nobodies were over 6 years ago in 2004. Bute probably has a padded fake record which is going to be exploded real soon. I think the guy is a fake champion and a soft farce soon to be stripped and exposed as a fraud much like Queen Abe was exposed.
