If Cotto-Chavez becomes official for next Spring...

Who should Pacquiao fight then? That one fight eliminates the 2 possible in house fights for another time, and assuming the I-Phone bandit still hasn't found the urge to 'get up', who should Pac fight in March or May?

I think Paul Williams will be the front-runner at 147.

He's a big enough name/challenge to draw huge numbers in gate and PPV revenue. At the same, he isn't established enough to make any sort of demands and has to do more or less what Pac/Top Rank tells him and like it.

Who do you think might hit the Pacquiao mega-millions jackpot?

Cotto-Chavez will not happen if Pacquiao beats Margarito. Most likely a rematch could happen between Cotto and Pacquiao, because it makes more money then Cotto-Chavez fight. Cotto now has Emanuel Steward, and I think that a Pacquiao/Cotto rematch is an interesting one. I think Puerto Ricans and even Mexicans may pay to see the rematch. Cotto did not have a good trainer for the first Pacquiao fight, I know thats a shotty excuse but no one can deny that a trainer can make a huge difference.

Arum says Cotto-Chavez is next if (when) Chavez gets through Gomez, and that's basically an eliminator for Pacquiao next fall.

Bob understands that it's still pretty early for Pacquiao-Cotto, and Miguel needs one more high profile fight to prove he's still elite. And if by some freak miracle the overrated Chavez should win, then you'll have Pacquiao victimizing another big name Mexican fighter... the son of a legend... who would be 43-0 at that point.

But Pac vs Chavez or Cotto is for next November, not the spring.

I don't feel like watching Cotto destroy that Chavez Bum, thats a pointless fight. God I hope Gomez some how wins, but I don't really know how good Gomez trainer is.

The most feared man needs a catch weight.

Hell probably demand 50/50 too, you know

One thing I will say though, Cotto should aim for the Pacquiao-Margo winner or the Williams-Martinez winner. Fighting Chavez is nonsense.

He's not a draw on his own, but against the much smaller Pac and being viewed as his most dangerous and biggest opponent and 24/7 and Dibella pushing the whole 'most feared man in boxing' angle... that equals big revenue, minimum 1 million buys and maybe a stadium fight on the east coast.
