Yup, Starling. Shame on me for trying to go off memory. You got it though. Breland is training fighters now out in BK, I believe.

What you talkin about? Nobody can say they're pound for pound until they beat Page.

we know who he is, he just didnt have that character and snigma about him. but i think its just that he was fighting in the 80s, if he was fighting today he would be talked about a lot more on here

Excellent fighter, to me,he was an underachiever. Man, he had serious talent and he would've beat Williams by UD. Those fights against Starling hurt his career I think, he would've accomplished much more.

Mark was an amazing fighter. Mark just lost his hunger as a pro, and I blame it on him becoming a millionaire before his first pro fight.

I still remember the 84 Olympics. In his first fight he fought a local guy from my home town named Wayne Gordon. Breland dominated and won easily, but Gordon was super live and actually knocked him down once.

His amateur carrier was the best, but as a professional He lost the big fights.

Breland was a terrific amateur! I always felt he could have been a top pro too but felt he was not developed properly. There is some much ground between the amateur and pro ranks.
