Imagine the Castillo fight. but instead of Floyd's opponent running out of energy...he keeps constantly pushing and hardly loses speed or power as the fight progresses into the late rounds.

The fight is intriguing since it can go either way. Floyd was pressured before, and forced to rumble (Castillo I) and should've lost the fight (I scored it 114-112 Castillo, 113-113 Draw very acceptable).

Marquez was tough for Pacquiao (countering with deadly timing and combinations). 1st fight I scored it a 1-point win for pac, DRAW being easily justifiable (1st round I scored 10-6). Second fight I had pac by 1 point again (the knockdown), DRAW justifiable again.

They're both different fighters and both have evolved. Mayweather isn't afraid to stalk an opponent now....and Pacquiao has learned to COUNTER (using the already awkward angles). He goes in a shell and feels for the gloves hitting his arms, then throws out counters (jabs and hooks).

Didnt Floyd have a Hand problem in the first Castillo fight? Not that it matters but He did adjust in the second fight and has learned from the first one anyways. Mayweather will stalk an opponent if he knows he can be effective. He has no reason at all to stalk manny so he simply will not do it. He is too smart to take the chance. Manny's Southpaw stance will be floyd's biggest problem but floyd can and will adapt. Don't get me wrong I think if anyone can take floyd its Manny but I don't see floyd fighting Pac's fight. Floyd will counter, move, counter, move all night to a UD Victory. Pac will have to stay on the outside, Jab his way in, use faints and be clever, something I do not see him being able to pull off.

The Reason why I believe Floyd would beat PacMan if they ever fight is because Marquez has already shown a way to be effective against Pac. I think Floyd will easily mimmic that style perfectly and even better without making the mistakes Marquez has. The problem with Marquez is he would box beautifully but then get carries away and get caught up in a brawl with PAC and then get caught. Floyd it to smart to let PAC fight the fight that he would want. Floyd will play it real safe and easily cruise to a UD using the same style Marquez has without making the mistakes. PAC will not bring out a macho man type style out of Floyd at any point in the fight to catch him and that's pacs only chance but it will never come. I'm not a fan of either fighter but this is just how I think the fight will go. Mayweather UD and he will boast how he beat the living he'll out of PAC but really only winning a UD by playing it safe. Either way a win is a win and it would be a huge one for Floyd no matter how he wins.
            No you are wrong.

That one reason is that you are gay!

I believe that Pac would beat floyd jr for three reasons:

                1) Experience - while Pac fought someone who fights like Floyd jr in the form of Marquez, giving him important experience in battling a smart counter-puncher, floyd has NEVER fought anyone like PAC. I mean, what other fighter in the planet fights like the Pacman?

                2) Roach - people keep forgetting that it isn't only Manny who goes into the ring but the strategies and direction he gets from Roach, the man who undoubtedly molded him to be the fighter he is today.

                3) Floyd jr himself - the man is so obviously psychologically scared of the Pacman, and in here pac has already won without even throwing a punch. Floyd has already lost his confidence of winning against pac as shown by his irrational behavior recently.

No matter how skilled you are, its almost useless when you no longer have the confidence to use it.

                So that's my $0.02

wifebeater jr doesn't beat pac "easily". even wifebeater jr doesn't believe that. that's why the entire wifebeater clan have done everything in their power to avoid this fight.

wifebeater jr won't fight pac until he notices pac declining. wifebeater jr doesn't fight anyone in their prime.

Roach commented that Floyd's legs aren't what they used to be. Floyd even mentioned that his trainer and uncle, Roger, has been slowing down on the mitts and he's noticed it, which affects his training.
Pac is still prime and I don't think we've seen the best Pac yet. He hasn't lost too much speed or stamina while moving up in weight. Manny's next fight will be at JMW, and if he fights again at WW, he'll probably be a faster and stronger version of the WW he was before he moved up because he'll have filled the weight by then. He's incorporating his right hand more, throwing powerful right hooks. He threw the most jabs and body shots he's ever thrown in his last fight. Pac's been turning opponents more often. Manny's shown more patience and a little counter punching skills by baiting, usually against the ropes. You can't ignore his straight left no matter how good your straight right is especially if you're not the type of fighter that's willing to take a punch for a punch. The Filipino has lots of weapons.

I'm not saying Mayweather won't win. I'm saying how surprised would you be if he didn't?

i agree with this. I have been very consistent on here about my belief that Floyd's physical attributes (the reflexes, footspeed, not so much the handspeed) have been on the decline since Baldomir/ODLH.....this might help explain the fact that he doesn't throw combos in the same manner as he did at 130 and 135.

A 130, 135 or 140 pound Floyd (think Corrales, Castillo and Gatti) Floyd would all beat MP @ those weights IMHO.....especially at 130 and 135, where i feel a Floyd win shouldn't even be up for debate. However the current version of Floyd at 147 vs the current version of Pac i'm truly not sure who would win.....they both have attributes that pose problems to the other, but Pac's physical attributes @ this point may be superior to Floyd's. The question then becomes can Floyd's ring savvy, intelligence and technical brilliance overcome this and get him the W despite waning physical attributes????

You Do not speak for for Floyd or any other man in this world for that matter. U are not in his mind and do not know how he feels or what he's going through. This topic is about boxing and Styles. There is no reason to speak on how another man is feeling. You are not Floyd. Maybe the things he is is going through is only going to motivate him more, how would you know? Pac may very well be able to beat floyd but I based my opinions on what I've seen in the ring. What are your opinions sticking strictly to boxing and what each man is capable of in a competitive fight?
