WBC junior flyweight champion Juan Carlos Reveco (25-1, 15KOs) has withdrawn from his scheduled fight with WBA minimumweight champion Roman Gonzalez (26-0, 22KOs). It was set for October 24 in Japan. Reveco has become ill and the fight will be postponed to a later date. Most experts were calling it a potential fight of the year. Reveco was getting very ill during training. After going to a hospital with severe pain, kidney stones were discovered. Surgery will be required to remove the stones and he will need several weeks to recover.
