It blows my mind that Berto is making like 900,000 dollars. Dude has talent and I guess that's what they are trying to showcase. Let Berto beat on bums and look explosive, then make money in the end like they did with Roy Jones Jr. The only thing is Berto isn't as good as Roy and won't go as far. There are other fighters that HBO could be building around that will go further.

This is whats wrong with Boxing and why MMA is gaining popularity. The UFC Pays their TOP guys 250-500k a fight MAX. The Highest Paid is Brock because he brought all the inbred WWE fans to watch and other top get 300-500k flat rate without getting fight of night or ko of night bonus.

Yet a clown like Berto is getting 1.25m to fight on a UNDERCARD when he has no fans and cant draw 900 people, WHAT A JOKE!

Yesterdays The Boxing Truth discussed this and they were also discusted with this, they think that Al Haymen has some dirt on HBO so he is blackmailing them.

This is a complete joke, they could have 5 great fights for 1.25m paying each fighter 50-200k and it would draw 1000000x more than Berto.

I just dont get it, this is insane and boxing will be ruined with these idiots making millions while not giving anything back. I want GBP to take over boxing so old farts like Arum, Lou, Goosen get the freck out of boxing because they are killing the sport and are no good old farts who use Boxing like their own personal ATM machine.
