He turned a superb fighter who was rapidly climbing the charts and facing tough opposition into one of the biggest jokes, now facing guys like Oruh. How do you go from beating Chambers type of opponents to facing the Oruhs of the division? Just ask Teddy Atlas, he'll tell you. All this talk by Atlas of how he can take any HW and mold them to beat a Klitschko, is hogwash - 1) No one can beat a Klitschko right now other than another Kltischko 2) He'll ruin Povetkin and turn him from stellar prospect into a washed-up bum.
Povetkin made a huge error getting mixed up with Atlas. Teddy destroys fighters and takes their souls. He is a vampire. When Povetkin loses to a bum, Teddy will wash his hands of him and say Povetkin never was any good anyway, that he lacked heart. Povetkin needs to fire Teddy Atlas now, while he still can recover from him.

You're right, Teddy is ruining him by diminishing his self-confidence.

Perhaps I'm being a bit too hard on Povetkin, but I think he should have the good sense to drop Atlas as his trainer before it's too late. Others like Michael Grant and Donny LaLonde today realize they should never have worked with Teddy.

Didn't they promised 3 fights for Povetkin in next few months, all against high-rated opponents? This guy, Teke Oruh, had no fights since almost 2 years... and he lost 2 last of just 16 fights. Povetkin should be dropped down in all ratings. And be put back to the top ONLY after fighting top-rated guys.
