    Remember Billy Conn...

I was reading about him today..

He started his career at welterweight, then fought at middle weight , then light heavyweight...

then he went Heavyweight to fight Joe Louis for the heavyweight championship of the world...

The funny thing is....He weighed in at 169!!!!!!! Joe at 198 I think...

THEN HE WAS OUTBOXING JOE LOUIS IN BOTH FIGHTS UNTIL HE TRIED TO KNOCK THE BROWN BOMBER OUT and got KO'd....

What a warrior he was though!

    Look at fighters today...****in *******...

I believed Conn was beaten badly the second time around. The first fight, he did outmaneuved Louis and opened Louis left eye with variey of jabs and uppercuts starting in the 3rd round and actually went toe to toe and oftenly outslugged Louis . The fight was his win through 12 rounds if he could just hand around but instead he went all out again in 13th round, just when it looks like the battered champ Louis was about to get his ass handed to him, just like any great fighters, he hang tough, trade shots and when Louis got a clean left to Conn stomach, the kid went down. These are a lesson for greedy, if you're not careful you will come home empty.

I've always that he's the best LHW ever, I rate him over Archie Moore.
