How can people still hate on Victor Ortiz?

I think he is a good fighter, I genuinely like him...but what I dont get is that the same people who dont think he is a quitter, choose not to dislike him for his quitting,or plain old ignore it - are the same ones who think fighters like Cotto lose credibility because of their so called "quitting". If you are going to hate on one fighter for "quitting", under even more dire conditions and bigger cuts, then you have to hate on the other for "quitting" too. Its not, let me say he is a quitter because he's Puerto Rican and at the same time respect and like an even bigger "quitter" because he is Mexican. If you quit you quit, thats it. I dont fight so I cant personally say that I like any fighter less if they quit, because I dont know what pain they are feeling - but it is more entertaining to see a fighter go out on his feet instead of calling a fight off, I get pissed when some of my fav fighters do it too, but I cant blame them either.Comment

Don't really want to start something with u, but it's kinda hard to call Dirrell a quitter when that hasn't been proven.
Anyway, Ortiz has been rooted for a lot more than I expected considering what he did. I was still a fan, but I wasn't at all surprised to see people jump off. But shocking, considering all he did was beat Harris, Campbell, etc. It took Duran a while to get his fans back.Comment

He gets a lot of credit for fighting Kotelnik but anyone who thought Campbell or Harris had any shot or think those fights proved ANYTHING about Ortiz are crazy. I don't like how Ortiz is still treated like he is an equal to Bradley, Alexander, and Khan when he hasn't done anything to prove it.Comment

Technically Alexander hasn't done anything to prove it either. He's done about the same as OrtizHe gets a lot of credit for fighting Kotelnik but anyone who thought Campbell or Harris had any shot or think those fights proved ANYTHING about Ortiz are crazy.
