Tim Coleman Fighter To Watch - Includes a Interview

    Tim Coleman Fighter To watch
By Edgar Solorzano of Chicago Boxing News

Some historians say the future is already written, and if it’s true, then fight fans prepare for Tim Coleman’s new chapters in the sport of Boxing as he continues to make history. Light welterweight champion Tim "Pit Bull" Coleman (18-1-1,5KO'S) successfully defeated the 32 year old Venezuelan boxer, Patrick “El Elegante" Lopez(20-3,12Ko'S) by scoring a tremendous 3rd round knock out on Friday, October 1st, at the Chumash Resort and Casino in Santa Ynez, California.

Coleman started the 1st round a bit slow, throwing a few combinations, while trying to study the southpaw Lopez, who has a brawler style. On the 2nd round it seemed like Tim Coleman found the answer to Patrick’s Lopez offensive and defensive style, making Coleman gain confidence and later scoring an exciting knock down against the Venezuelan Olympian. Although Lopez was knocked down, he got back up like a true warrior and was looking forward to win the war that both fighters had started in the early rounds. But everything changed when the bell ranged as both fighters started the 3rd round; Lopez was trying to be aggressive, but struggled with Coleman’s defensive style and body movement. Making it hard for Lopez to land punches. While Coleman was landing good combinations and frustrating the Venezuelan brawler. Later in the round Coleman successfully landed a tremendous right uppercut that ended the fight by knock out.

The fans were satisfied and happy with what they saw, everyone was loud and some said, “We need more fighters like him.” Tim Coleman is the fighter to watch, don’t be surprised if you see him fight against a big name fighter three years from now. So fight fans keep an eye on this fighter as he keeps breaking walls and rivals that get in his way.

Now With great pleasure I would like to present an interview with Light Welterweight Champion, Tim “Pit Bull” Coleman.

Edgar S: Where do you see yourself three years from now?
    T. Coleman: I see myself fighting the best and winning a world title, just like what any fighter wants.

Edgar S: If you could fight any top fighter, who would it be?

    T. Coleman: Whoever is making the most money. [Smiling]

Edgar S: What motivates you to work hard and box?

    T. Coleman: First of all I love the sport of Boxing, I have a passion for it and I just like that feeling when you punch someone in the face. So I do it for the love of the game.

Edgar S: Is there anything special you wear before a fight, that you think helps you out with your performance?

    T. Coleman: No, but I will continue to fight in the same trunks till I lose a fight.

Edgar S: If you were to compare your style to another fighter, who would it be?

    T. Coleman: No one, I’m Tim Coleman and have my own style.

Edgar S: Are you planning to move up or down in weight for any of your future fights?

    T. Coleman: No, I’m going to stay where I’m at, since I’m a champion and feel comfortable in this weight. Also since I’m pretty satisfied with my win, I mean I put the dude to sleep. [Smiling]

Edgar S: What’s your advice to the youngsters on following their dreams, especially the young boxers?

    T. Coleman: Never give up and follow your dreams, don’t listen to anyone but yourself. There are always better fighters out there, so you have to work real hard. Nothing is easy, but hard work does pay off.

Edgar S: Well Tim, thanks for the interview.

    T. Coleman: No problem

Robbed Mighty Mike. Sick uppercut in his last fight, but that Mighty Mike fight doesn't change my feelings about Coleman. I don't think he is anything special and will be beat badly in the near future.
