Haha, did you actually give me bad karma for that? Calm down son. I thought I was clear in my post, but I will give you the replay. I agree his comp level is not steller, none of the champs have a great list though. Ruiz has been humiliated several times, Byrd has been blasted out, dominated, and given a few gifts from the judges against weak comp, Brewster needed help against Meehan and has lost to crap fighters.

To answer your question, no Vitali has not beat a top 5 fighter as a belt holder , but neither has any of the other champs. Byrd was not the defending champ when he beat VK, Ruiz did not beat Toney, Toney beat himself, Brewster was not a champ against Wlad.
So the answer is no across the board.

Now I ask you, has any of the champs defended and defeated a top 5 fighter?

So who will finally KO this bum and restore some dignity to the title of World's Heavyweight Champion?
I thought I would resurrect this old post because I am still wondering the same thing "now" as I did "then" and that's; Who will be the next WBA World's Heavyweight Champ and steal Don King's Belt??? And for those who so loved Vitali, I'd also liked to say, "I told ya!!!", the guy retires before ever beating a World Champion how could he ever really be considered a "former World Champion" when he never did beat a Champion????????????

If the Robot doesn't do it, it'll be Lamon. Too bad Toney can't contest for the title.

I agree Toney got screwed but it looks like he'll get a shot at a belt he'll actually get to keep if he wins. And Brewster would be very deserving but I hope the Russian Beast mangles Ruiz. Bob "the Beast" Sapp is a legend in K1 (and is it just me or do they give Sapp extra time to recover every time he gets rocked or what?),and Sapp seems to draw a lot of attention to his sport whenever he fights (remember the Mike Tyson incident), so having a real live "Ivan Drago" as champ may be exactly what the Heavyweight division needs to get some Unification Fights and evetually some respect back. Imagine, Ruiz may be the only champ this guy can actually beat and therefor Ruiz may actually help the division after all, (mind you he'll have to do it lying on his back).
