Maidana's gonna be working on cutting of the ring in my opinion. He knows Khan is going to run to make sure Maidana doesn't land any tough combos on him.

Maidana's stamina is good, from what I saw in the Kotelink fight so footwork and head and body movement will be the main thing. Both ighters know Maidana just needs to land a good few combinations on him and theres a good chance of a KO.

I don't think Maidana will catch him though.

From my understanding, the jab is the easiest punch to counter.

Amir will undoubtedly make excessive use of his world class jab against Maidana. How can Maidana counter Amir's jab? Keep in mind that Maidana has slow feet and that his lateral movement is minimum.

And what if Maidana starts handling the jab. What should Amir do then?

He can grab hold of KHAN's arm then snap it out of the socket. Takes away Khan's jab!
