Comments Thread For: Margarito Not Worried About Roach, Focused on Manny KO

After finishing a workout at his camp in Oxnard, California, former champion Antonio Margarito was asked for his thoughts on the recent comments that were made by Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao. Roach called Margarito a "dirty fighter." He said the Mexican boxer is likely going to use his head, elbows and other illegal tactics to win the fight. Roach is training Pacquiao to avoid these possible tactics.

Freddie roach says the Marg fight is easy, that he's not worried about fighting him, thinks that manny will have him Ko'd within 8 rounds.

Now, I have learnt from experience to listen closely to Roaches predictions, but this seems a little flippent, I mean, Marg is a dangerous MoFo,
Is there any chance that Roach is under estimating him and might be in for a shock come fight night???????????????????????????????????

Good luck with that, Marg. He'll be coming at Manny like a mummy on fight night.

I can't take Marg seriously after he said he wanted Mayweather after this fight. Guy is delusional.

I mean doesn't the garcia camp a strategy or something i mean there has to b some kind of plan?? to me he only talks about going in there and knocking PAC out!!?? at least PAC's camp has a strategy for tony like giving alot of angles not being stationary and countering every time tony makes a mistake and always on the move ...but all tony is talking about is the usual stuff im gona KO PAC ...sounds like the last couple of opponents who told the same thing that they were gona do to PAC without a strategy...

He's planning to cut the ring, counter him, and basically use his physical advantages such as a strength and size. I wasn't too impressed with his mittwork on youtube either. He's not going to hit Pac with those slow body punches because Roach is not going to let him stand there in front of him.

yeah, Roach predicts the future when it comes to boxing. But he is a dirty trainer, all his fighters get faster, stronger, under his tutelage. Khan is unstoppable since he joined up with Roach. His fighters never lose, well very very very rarely anyway.

So i hope Margarito takes some PEDS himself, and then we can see a real fight. Knowing margarito he probably is.......

So if you're going to fight someone, you're going to be thinking he's going to kick your ass??

You think the fight will sell more with him saying "Oh Pac is going to knock me out"??
