Comments Thread For: Humberto Soto-Brandon Rios in The Works For 2011

According to Robert Garcia, trainer of unbeaten lightweight puncher Brandon Rios, a potential fight with WBC champion Humberto Soto has already been discussed for early 2011. Rios and Soto will both appear in separate bouts on Top Rank's upcoming pay-per-view on December 4. If Soto retains his title against Urbano Antillon, and Rios beats Noe Balanos, the two could possibly meet in February or March of next year.

Good effort by Arum to sell the December PPV. That's likely all it is.

Not if Soto doesn't sign on the dotted lines.

That would be BAM BAM, lol.
My gut instinct was to pick Soto, but after mulling it over Im not sure. Soto has been going the distance an awful lot lately, and with people he should be a class above. He seems to have a habit of letting his opponents into the fight, and I wonder if 15 years as a pro a 60 something fights are starting to wear on him.
Good fight, this one could go either way.
