I do think Berto is protected, but calm down with Cintron and Clottey. Clottey can't beat Berto and even though Cintron may be able to, HBO doesn't want Cintron back on their air and understandably so.

Cintron has a chance, but Clottey would get outworked even though Berto isn't very durable either. It's all debatable though. I think this is a good thread by Burner because Berto is protected on a Chavez Jr. level.

I wouldn't say protected, so much as I'd say still being built into a "PPV star". It was clear from the Quintana fight the guy can't sell. So what I think they r trying to do is give him some over-match opponents so he can look great, knock them out, and therefore build up his excitement/fan base.

Personally, other than the legends in the weight (May/Pac/Shane/Cotto/etc) there really ain't too much at the weight he needs to be protected from. Maybe Mike Jones...
